In October, I finished, The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles, and Belief, by Gregg Braden.
Gregg Braden is a popular, best-selling author who uses his background in applied sciences to explain human spirituality with the scientific method. This book focuses on his explanations of an underlying form of energy which connects all life forms, objects, and the apparent nothingness of the universe. Braden uses terminology and examples discovered in well-known and theoretical science to explain how the human consciousness can influence natural phenomena, not just by actions, but with feeling.
It was an interesting concept, one that was captured by citing examples from various religions and their corresponding scientific experiments documenting such abnormalities. Brief (comparatively), but thorough, it was a good change up in "reading" material and kept me engaged on the drive to and from work.
The best part of the experience was his narration. He is a veteran speaker, touring on a regular basis. It felt like I was listening to him perform a full day's lecture.
