January Audiobook: The Power

For January 2020, I started the new year with The Power by Rhonda Byrne.

My first exposure to the Law of Attraction was The Secret which was a movie and a book by Rhonda Byrne. This is the follow up to The Secret.

The power behind The Power, is love. Byrne explains that love is driving force behind the Law of Attraction. If all things are done with love and followed by gratitude, the person giving love will receive what they want and need. It is a simple philosophy yet seems to be hard for most people to execute. The process is explained in depth with anecdotes and examples throughout the book.

Having just listened to The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, I finished this book in no time. Everything seems to be easier to digest after that book.

A few things I just realized:  (1) My December and January books both begin with "The Power..." and I did not realize that until doing this blog (2) I might be in Oprah's book club and not even realize it since both my December and January audiobooks gained significantly more popularity thanks to her.

December Audiobook: The Power of Now

For December 2019, I completed another audiobook. For the second time, I listened to The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

It is a collection of spiritual wisdom across the world and across millennia. Often, I'd hear a sentence or another line in the book that could be discussed and debated at length for hours.

This was the first book I began with. I was going through a difficult time and when I first started listening to this book. I remembered why I began with the spiritual healing books, videos, articles, etc. Then I reflected and realized how far I've come along since then.

Even the first time listening to this book, I listened to several chapters two or three times. After it was finished, I came back and listened to a chapter here or a chapter there depending on what I needed to learn or remember. There is a lot of wisdom in this book.

The content is heavy and I always concentrate when listening to it. Whichever book I go through next is always fast and easy because the content of this book is just so deep. That is why I listened to this book again. There will always be something new to learn and ponder.
