Here is a picture of me pressure washing the driveway. What fun.


On my day off, I woke up that morning to find a notice on our front door. The village had just given me a warning that I have two weeks to clean my driveway and fix my fence or else I would begin to incur fines. I thought I had avoided all of this when I bought a house without a Home Owner's Association!


Now I got to spend all evening pressure washing my huge driveway (I could park an RV and 4 cars in it) and I had to pay $80 for the rental from Home Depot.


Next I get to repair my rotten fence. I know that I need to replace it soon, but I wanted to wait another year or two. Now I'm going to dump $600 and one day of labor into a fence that will be destroyed and replaced in 1-2 years.


I also have to have it all done by the end of the March.

Florida Primary

Of course I voted in the Florida Primary elections last week. I was able to get off work before the polls closed so I was still wearing some of my work clothes which is what you see in the picture as I point to my "I Voted" sticker.


Everyone knows about the presidential candidates running, but we were also voting for a new Mayor and City Council.


It was the largest voter turn out in our village for a primary election in years; turnout was up 350%!!

Teddy Bear Room Box

Teddy Bear Room Box

I got a present recently. It is of a hand made Teddy Bear in his own room box. I call the room box a diorama, which is correct, but room box is more specific.

The Teddy Bear was a test version for another Christmas 2015 present. After that one was put together in a room box of a much grander scale, this room box was made for me. I was already offered the bear but wouldn't do anything with him because I was afraid to damage him. We went shopping and found a good size shadow box to put him in.

Everything in the shadow box was hand crafted and made to scale to fit inside. It was meant to hang on the wall in my office at work, but it looks so nice, I decided to leave it on my desk for now and hang it up one day.
