New Phone

Every few years I get a new phone. Usually one that is top of the line because I use mine for years.

I ended up keeping my LG G2 for four years. It was just too slow to keep using for data. It was hard to get myself to the store and buy another expensive phone at full price.

I finally went to the Sprint store to see what phones were out and get a feel for them in person rather than just listen to people on YouTube talk about features I don't care about and never use.

Apparently Sprint was having a one day "sale" for current customers. I don't like leasing phones, I prefer to buy, in fact, I will only buy, not lease. For this "sale", I have to make payments and then get the option to buy the phone at 18 months. In the end, it is a 0% interest payment plan with a manageable balloon payment at the end and I will get about $200 off the total cost of the phone.

As you can see above, I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I figure this will last me for a while and so far it is way faster than my old phone. 

Where Have I Been?

So it has been a few weeks since I've been blogging. In fact, I didn't post through all of January 2018.

I have been busy and I only really had one thing worth posting in January anyway and I will post that later this month.

I've been busier than normal at work. Ethan is getting to be more and more work. He just isn't like other kids, he is a lot more to handle. The pool broke twice and I had to spend quite a bit of money to fix something we never use. Now the pool equipment is just about completely replaced and new. I have the old piping and one old valve but now everything else around the pump and filter is new and works better.

I got to see a movie for the first time since Ethan was born. I went to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi about four weeks after it was released, so no big screen at the movies, just the regular sized screen but at least I got to go.

Oh yeah, work called me two Saturdays in a row. Not how I like to spend my days off:  at work.

This toilet had been leaking for about two months and annoying everyone. I replaced all of the rubber pieces and it is working better than before. This is how my days off were spent the last few weeks. This was my break time, when Ethan wasn't making a fuss.
